Reawakening Canons Wharf: A Glimpse into a New Future for Existing Buildings
We had the privilege of welcoming Buckley Gray Yeoman and the inspiring team behind Don’t Waste Buildings for a private tour of Canons Wharf. Don’t Waste Buildings continues to lead the conversation on how we can reduce environmental impact by reimagining the buildings we already have—rather than replacing them. Their work champions the idea that sustainability and creativity go hand in hand, and our visit to Canons Wharf offered a perfect example of how this vision can take shape.
A Bold New Chapter for Canons Wharf
Our work at Canons Wharf is not simply a refurbishment—it's a demonstration of what retrofit can achieve when approached with care, ambition, and imagination. Our shared goal is to show that existing structures can be brought back to life in ways that are not only environmentally responsible, but also culturally and socially valuable.
Retrofit is far more than an architectural trend—it’s a meaningful shift in how we design, build, and value the spaces we inhabit.
What Comes Next
Over the coming months, we’ll be sharing more about the vision for Canons Wharf—its design details, the story behind the site, and how this Bristol landmark is being carefully and thoughtfully reawakened.
We’re excited to invite more people into the journey. Stay tuned.
